Chinese Cabbage Seeds

1. Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost in your area. Sow seeds in individual pots filled with a high-quality seed-starting mix, and lightly water.

2. Place the pots in a sunny location, such as a south-facing window. The soil needs to remain warm and moist for the seeds to germinate.

3. Once the seedlings reach 2-3 inches tall, transplant them to individual pots filled with potting soil.

4. When the weather warms up and all danger of frost has passed, transplant the seedlings into the garden.

5. Space plants 12-18 inches apart, in rows that are 2-3 feet apart.

6. Provide plenty of water, especially during dry periods.

7. Add a light layer of mulch around the plants to help retain moisture and keep weeds at bay.

8. Fertilize the plants every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.

9. Harvest the heads when they are firm and solid. Cut the heads off at the base with a sharp knife.
