How to Sow Marigold Seeds
1. Seed Tray Preparation:
- Begin by filling a seedling tray with cocopeat to create a lightweight and moisture-retaining base.
2. Sowing:
- Create ½ inch deep holes in the cocopeat.
- Place 4 seeds in each hole to ensure good germination rates, as not all seeds may sprout.
- Gently cover the seeds with a thin layer of cocopeat to protect them and maintain moisture.
3. Watering:
- Use a spray gun or bottle to lightly mist the cocopeat, ensuring it is moist but not waterlogged.
- Continue to spray with water on alternate days to keep the soil consistently moist, which is crucial for germination.
4. Germination:
- Place the seed tray in a location that receives full sunlight.
- Seeds typically germinate within a week, given adequate warmth and moisture.
