Growing tips for Green Amaranthus
1. Prepare the soil by loosening it with a rake or tiller. Green Amaranthus prefers a light, well-draining soil.
2. Plant the seeds directly into the soil in a sunny location. Sow the seeds about 1/4 inch deep and 2 to 3 inches apart.
3. Water the soil gently and keep the area moist, but not soggy.
4. Thin the plants when they are 2 to 3 inches tall, leaving the strongest plants about 8 to 12 inches apart.
5. Fertilize the plants every 2 to 3 weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
6. Harvest the leaves and shoots when they are young and tender, about 30 to 45 days after planting.
